A city-wide app figure is not the same as the air outside your own back door. The console pairs with a remote sensor, sets its clock from the WWVB radio signal and reads pressure to work out a short-range outlook.
Anywhere outside the WWVB coverage area, because the self-setting clock relies on that North American signal, and anyone expecting a real forecast: the on-screen icon comes from the station's own pressure trend.
Decide how many spots you want to watch before ordering. The box holds one outdoor sensor and the console will carry three, so any further location is an extra sensor bought on its own.
