An open straw hole is what stops a big tumbler riding in a bag, and the straw itself collects dust between drinks. Folding it down under a sealing lid lets the same cup travel closed.
Hot drinks in the closed position. The maker warns that pressure builds and hot liquid can push out of the top or the sides, and it asks for at least a quarter ice with carbonated drinks.
Measure at both ends before buying: 5.62 inches across at the handle, and 11.5 inches from base to raised straw, so the cup holder opening and the fridge dispenser height both matter.
