Bowls and lids usually get bought at different times, so half of them never match. Here every bowl arrives with a lid of its own, and the graduated shapes stack inside one another instead of spreading along a shelf.
The oven or the stovetop. What the lids promise is a spill-stopping fit rather than a full seal, so a bowl of soup still has to sit level on the way to work.
Look at the listing photos for the individual bowl volumes. The seller publishes the set as 12 pieces without a per-bowl capacity, and the largest bowl is what decides whether a full batch of batter fits.
