The catch container is what separates this from knife work: diced onion goes into a box, not across the counter, and cleanup is a rinse or the dishwasher rack.
Anyone expecting knife-replacement precision - a chopper does volume, not brunoise. Soft tomatoes and fresh herbs still want the knife.
Use the food holder for anything smaller than half an onion. The blades that make it fast are the same blades your fingertips should never meet.
