An old fashioned poured at home falls flat next to one from a bar, and what is missing is the aroma of smoke. Lighting a pinch of wood chips over the glass puts that layer back in a few seconds.
Any household that does not want an open butane flame on the counter. It only works by lighting wood chips with a torch, it involves alcohol so it is adults only, and it needs a ventilated spot away from curtains, paper and open bottles, never left burning unattended.
Plan on buying butane before the first drink: listings state the torch ships empty for safety, so the kit does nothing out of the box until it has been filled.
