OUR TAKE · NICE CHOICE

Why it made the list

A basic iron will dribble at low temperature and silt up with scale over time, and the marks land on exactly the garments you were pressing. An anti-drip design and a valve you can pull out go after both.

Who it's not for

220-240 V mains, since the manual gives the supply as 120 V. The manual also excludes pure distilled and demineralised water, along with softened, scented and rain water, asking for untreated tap water instead.

Check this before you buy

Check the exact model code on the box, because several irons carry the Focus Excel name with close codes and the maker phrases the auto-off as fitted depending on model.

This is our own reasoning for shortlisting the product, not a review of a unit we own. Specifications come from the manufacturer's and Amazon's product pages — always confirm the current details there before buying.
