Very few doorways and hallways come in at a standard width, so a fixed gate is either too wide to fit or leaves daylight down one side. This one adjusts across the opening, with a door you walk through instead of a rail you step over.

Measure the opening first. The maker states this gate will not fit an opening between 32 and 35 inches without an additional 4 inch extension, and the wall cups have to go on to hold it in position.
